AMA Receives Branded Reflective Vests from Street Sense

Street Sense Organisation (SSO) continues to demonstrate its commitment to promoting road safety in Ghana.

As part of this effort, the organisation presented 20 pieces of branded reflective vests to the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) at the AMA’s head office.

The items worth GHc 4,524.00 is to support the activities of the AMA in promoting safety on the roads of Accra.

Mr. Gebrial Dake, Director in charge of Monitoring and Evaluation at SSO, who presented the items said the donation formed part of efforts to build a new relationship with the AMA to increase visibility to prevent road crashes in Accra.

He expressed the hope that the new partnership between SSO and AMA would help increase awareness and educate citizens about road safety issues to reduce road crashes.

Mr. Dake said as part of the partnership, SSO would be collaborating with the AMA and other partners to organise a tree planting exercise to commemorate this year's World Environment Day scheduled for 5th June.

Coordinating Director of the AMA, Mr. Benjamin Armah, who received the items on behalf of the AMA expressed his gratitude and was hopeful the partnership would help reduce risks on the roads.

He welcomed the new partnership with the SSO, indicating that road safety was high on the assembly's agenda and was looking forward to collaborating with more stakeholders to promote road safety in Accra.

Mr. Armah assured that the items would be used for the intended purpose to achieve the goal of reducing road crashes in the city.
